A Death Penalty

A curriculum for use in Christian faith communities
People of faith constantly deal with issues of life and death. One of those issues in the USA is the death penalty—the most severe punishment in our criminal justice system. Even when it is not in the headlines, the death penalty poses important questions that deserve careful, thoughtful, prayerful attention.
This curriculum provides that attention.
Designed for adult learners (and older youth), it includes adaptable lesson plans, a “reader” for the class participants, and multi-media components.
The curriculum is designed so that opponents, proponents, and the undecided can listen to each other and grow from the experience. It is designed for use in Christian congregations, though creative teachers will be able to adapt it for use in other faith traditions.
This curriculum was published in 2008. See the Updates page for more important information.
